It requires regular maintenance to keep it at an optimum and safe standard. The steering rack on all motor vehicles is easily knocked out of alignment by all the speed humps and potholes in the road. When the wheel alignment becomes out of tolerance the tyres will wear unevenly on either edge of the side walls. The steering whhel is off centre when the car is travelling in a straight line The car pulls to the left or the right The front tyres wear unevenly, resulting in poor performance If any of tthe above faults are present on your car we strongly recommend that you have your wheel alignment and steering geometry checked and adjusted. This should ideally be checked by professionals at least once a year and especially if your vehicle has resulted in any impact. If your vehicle is three years old or more then you are required to have a valid MOT. The test is a general safety check of your vehicle to include the condition of your tyres, lights, brakes, suspension and a number of other Our Mot Centre testing bay features. Without a valid MOT you will not be a able to retax your vehicle and the Department of transport now holds computerised records for every vehicle on the road meaning that a police vehicle registration check will now also highlight an out of date MOT as well as insurance. We are not an appointed MOT Centre, but work closely with Foster & Sims. We will process your MOT and undertake any necessary repairs or renewals to ensure your vehicle passes it's test.
